Switzerland – Construction work – Los Nord - L11 - Fahrbahnerneuerung Münchenstein – Reinach inkl. BehiG

The overall project encompasses the renewal of both tracks over a length of approximately 3.36 km in the section between the Schwertrainstrasse and Habshagstrasse level crossings. Due to its size, the project has been divided into two lots. The project boundary lies at railway kilometer 1.9, dividing the overall project into the northern section (North Lot, approximately 1.63 km long) and the southern section (South Lot, approximately 1.74 km long). The track renewal includes the superstructure (slab track instead of ballast track) and substructure, including utility lines, adjacent road construction, and track drainage. The operations building in the Surbaum and Stöckackerstrasse loop, as well as the entire Surbaum loop including switches, will also be rebuilt as part of the project. Additionally, new utility lines and comprehensive intersection reconstructions at the Gartenstadt and Loogstrasse junctions/crossings will be carried out in cooperation with the Basel-Landschaft Department of Civil Engineering, running parallel to the railway line.
