The project N01/42, 46 Zurich North Interchange – Zurich East Interchange – Brüttisellen Interchange (abbreviated PZO) aims to reduce existing capacity bottlenecks in the area from the Brüttisellen Interchange to the Zurich East Interchange and to improve traffic flow. This will be achieved through the establishment of a permanent emergency lane conversion (PUN) and various structural measures on the roadway and engineering structures. Further project components include noise abatement (new construction of 5 noise control towers, replacement of 1 noise control tower) and road runoff treatment (new construction of 2 stormwater treatment plant). The present mandate of the general contractor for the main works of construction package 2 essentially comprises the following construction works: - Various adjustment and optimization measures to the road alignment, including the dismantling of lamppost foundations and previously cut lamppost stumps in the median strip and at the edges - Construction of new foundations for signal gantries - Construction of a new noise barrier for the "Überlandstrasse" (divided into east, center, and west sections) - Construction of a new noise barrier for "Im Schwanen" - Construction of a new noise barrier for "Birkenstrasse" - Replacement construction of a new noise barrier for the "Brüttisellen junction," entrance towards Zurich - Construction of new SABA Wallisellen and SABA Brüttisellen (including adjustments to the oil separator, a new pumping shaft for the Wallisellen interchange, and a new drop shaft for Haldenstrasse) - Extension of the Brandbach utility tunnel - Widening of the Altbach bridge - Widening of the overpass at the entrance towards Zurich (from the N15) - Adjustments to the overpass at the entrance towards Zurich, in the area of the dam cavity - Impact reinforcement of the underpass at the connecting road, junction Brüttisellen - Extension of the Brandbach culvert - Construction of a new retaining wall on Industriestrasse...
