Switzerland – Construction work – N02 Einzelmassnahmen Osttangente Basel (EM OT), Sanierungsabschnitt 1, Stammstrecke mit Tunnel Schwarzwald und Brücke Bäumlihof, Baumeisterarbeiten

The EM OT project extends along section 1 of the N02 between km 1.50 and 3.30 in the canton of Basel-Stadt. This is one of the busiest national highways in Switzerland. To ensure the safety and availability of the infrastructure until the planned Rhine Tunnel Basel bottleneck removal, appropriate maintenance measures are necessary. The following maintenance works are being tendered: complete rehabilitation of the Bäumlihof bridge, the bridge access to the right bank of the Rhine before the Schwarzwald Bridge (main line only), rehabilitation of the base slab of the elevated Schwarzwaldallee bridge, replacement of the surface course in sections with binder course replacement on the national highway section, and local condition-related repairs to the road drainage system. Schwarzwald Tunnel, N02 level: surface course replacement, local concrete repair, tunnel wall coating, and conversion of four existing service doors into self-rescue crossings.
