Switzerland – Electrical wiring work

The Federal Roads Office (ASTRA) is planning to carry out preparatory measures to maintain the infrastructure on the Villars-Ste-Croix - Vennes section (N09 km 1.170 to 7.180). The maintenance strategy for this section is the targeted refurbishment of the infrastructure to ensure that no interventions are necessary during the implementation of major ASTRA construction projects in the Lausanne-Morges agglomeration. This tender concerns preparatory work for relocating the existing low-voltage busbars in the motorway's underground duct network to supply the N09's operational facilities. This work consists of: - Relocating the existing junction boxes, which will be supplied via temporary supports installed in the immediate vicinity of the existing manholes; - Temporary connections for the equipment to be serviced, which will be supplied from the relocated junction boxes. - The installation of a low-voltage power distribution rail along the motorway fences, - Any necessary modifications to the existing switch boxes to accommodate the temporary cables, - The disconnection of the existing power buses, - The connection of the temporary cables to the main distribution switchboards and the relocated field boxes, - The removal of the cables from the deactivated power buses. The works extend over section N09 between the Sorges Bridge and the Flon Bridge.
