The Winznau weir near Olten was built between 1914 and 1917 and is part of the Gösgen run-of-river power plant (KWG) operated by Alpiq Hydro Aare AG (AHA). It diverts the Aare River into the 4.8 km long headrace canal leading to the powerhouse in Niedergösgen, which was rebuilt between 1996 and 2000. The weir, in its original design of over 110 years old, is in good, operational condition. As part of the relicensing process, renovation work on the existing structure (weir) and a new auxiliary power plant with an installed capacity of approximately 1.2 MW are planned. This tender covers the complete renovation work for the steel hydraulic engineering components (gate renovation) of the Winznau weir (Lot 3.2), encompassing planning, engineering, dimensioning, renovation, fabrication (plant construction), quality assurance, delivery, assembly, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
