Switzerland – Engineering services – Aarau-Lenzburg, Vorstudie Velovorzugsroute

The Aarau-Lenzburg priority cycle route (VVR) is included in the cantonal structure plan as a preliminary orientation (structure plan chapter M4.1 Cycling, project no. 15). This preliminary study will now examine the structure plan entry in greater detail. The development of the range of route options, the feasibility study, and the evaluation of the Aarau-Lenzburg VVR options are the subject of this procurement. The assessment of suitability will be carried out in three phases: * The first phase involves compiling the range of route options and defining the evaluation system for the subsequent option assessment. The option assessment will be conducted taking into account the cantonal objectives according to the spatial concept and the mobilityAARGAU strategy. * The second phase includes an examination of the technical, traffic-related, and environmental feasibility, as well as a preliminary cost estimate. * In phase three, an evaluation of the VVR options will be conducted, comparing them to the future situation without the VVR. The evaluation of the variants is reviewed using sensitivity analyses, and the best variant is determined. The procedure corresponds to phases 1 and 2 of SIA 112. The three phases of the preliminary study are estimated to require a total of 135-150 working days (including 7 days for traffic modeling). The bids submitted by the providers may deviate from this estimate for justifiable reasons.
