General support for the client in the aforementioned project (general support as well as support in developing the project fundamentals, procurement, controlling, project-based quality management, and technical project supervision) and for the overall site management in the areas of road alignment and engineering structures. For a detailed description of services, please refer to the documents. The project encompasses the extensive rehabilitation of the N13 on the nearly 6 km long section between Landquart and the Rhine bridges at Bad Ragaz. In addition, the structures on the section between the Landquart interchange and the Sarganserland junction must be prepared for conversion into an emergency lane. The basis for further project development is the existing N13 EP16 action plan and the SABA Heidiland factsheet. Based on these, the subsequent project phases must be developed until project completion. On the Graubünden side of the section, the road surface is largely in poor condition and must be completely renewed. Furthermore, the drainage system must be updated. In addition, several engineering structures need to be renewed (underpasses) or repaired (overpasses). Ancillary facilities such as guardrails, traffic signals, fences, and gates also need to be supplemented or replaced. At the Landquart interchange, the western roundabout (near the Coop gas station) needs to be rebuilt, fitted with a bypass, and its approaches adjusted. The total workload is estimated at 20,000 man-hours.
