Switzerland – IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – Softwarebeschaffung Wägesystem

Zurich Waste Management and Recycling (ERZ) is planning the procurement and implementation of a new, integrated weighing system. The existing system landscape will be replaced due to technological and operational requirements. The new solution will cover all relevant locations (e.g., Hagenholz, Werdhölzli, Loächer, etc.) and provide systemic support for both operational and billing processes. Procurement will be carried out using a selective procedure in accordance with the Intercantonal Agreement on Public Procurement (IVöB) within the scope of the intercantonal agreement. The new solution will include, in particular, functions for weighing, receiving and retrieving hazardous waste, document generation, payment processing, vehicle identification (including barrier control and RFID), and the management of clients, tariffs, and material flows relevant to the Swiss Waste Management Act (VeVA). Integration into existing systems of the City of Zurich (SAP S/4HANA, Worldline, municipal network infrastructure including DMZ, VLAN, and VPN) is also planned, as well as the possibility of future expansion to include mobile solutions and new control concepts (e.g., AI-supported traffic management and waste management). This prequalification process serves to select suitable providers who will be invited to participate in the bidding phase. A maximum of three providers will be admitted to the second phase.
