Switzerland – Public security services – Externe Sicherheitsdienstleistungen

BLS AG's train escort (RB), occasional ticket check (SPO), and passenger frequency survey (FQ) services operate throughout the entire BLS AG network. Incidents such as verbal abuse, threats, and physical assaults are on the rise. For this reason, BLS AG train staff on safety-critical lines (incident statistics) are accompanied by security personnel. These deployments are ordered by BLS on a line-specific basis. Depending on requirements, the patrol is also used for graffiti prevention or emergency response at major stations. BLS AG has its own security service (SD), which primarily operates on the German-speaking network and also provides security during events and sporting events. External security resources are brought in to support train staff on the French-speaking part of the BLS rail network.
