The Wassen power plant (KWW) is located on the Reuss River in the municipality of Wassen. Together with the power plants in Göschenen and Amsteg, the KWW forms the Reuss cascade, which produces a total of 40% of the railway electricity for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). The KWW's annual production averages 290 GWh. The power plant is therefore a crucial component of the railway power supply on the north-south axis. Lot WV 4.2 comprises the overhaul of the MG1 and MG2 ball valves and the supply of new bypass lines and filling valves. Due to scheduling conflicts with work on other lots, work interruptions during the construction phase cannot be ruled out.
