BLS ships goods within Switzerland. 99% of these goods are not subject to dangerous goods regulations. Examples of possible transported goods (this list is not exhaustive): - Euro pallets (80 cm x 120 cm) - Double pallets (80 cm x 240 cm) - Wheelsets - Motors - Wheel discs - Cable reels - Etc. The goods are packaged for freight and transport or loaded onto a suitable transport carrier, but must be secured on the vehicle (tensioning kit, etc.). The cargo is marked with the sender's and recipient's addresses. Loading usually takes place from the rear. However, depending on the nature of the goods, side loading may be necessary. | The volume of heavy transport operations is continuously increasing. This is due to process adjustments in our workshops. The large components mainly include bogies, transformers, motors, wheelsets, and air conditioning units. This tender evaluates all transport operations from Bönigen to the following workshops: Spiez - Oberburg (from 2026), Holligen/Bern - Givisiez - Kandersteg - central warehouse Gwatt-Thun - Affolter Schüpfen external warehouse (Kosthofen) (until 2027). Transporting large components requires specialized vehicles, equipment, and a high degree of flexibility. This tender seeks a partner capable of meeting these requirements to ensure the smooth operation of these transports. | The Milk Run is a fixed route connecting the workshops. Its starting point is the central warehouse, which supplies the light maintenance workshops in Spiez, Oberburg, and Givisiez. Heavy maintenance in Bönigen is also included.
