Switzerland – Sewage, refuse, cleaning and environmental services

ZAKU provides waste disposal services for 18 municipalities in the canton of Uri (all except Seelisberg). The residential population within the disposal area was 37,200 in 2023. In 2023, approximately 745 tons of glass, 60 tons of aluminum/cans (tin) from municipal collection points, and 67 tons of general waste collected via private underground containers were disposed of. ZAKU is issuing a new tender for the emptying and transport of glass and tin from municipal collection points and general waste from underground containers, effective January 1, 2026, for a six-year period. Qualified transport companies are invited to participate in the tender process and submit a bid, taking into account the required services and documentation. The services for the entire ZAKU service area (excluding Seelisberg) will be tendered as a single contract. The following services are requested: * Emptying of glass and aluminum/metal containers at collection points in the municipalities of Uri and transport to the recycling site defined by the provider * Emptying of underground waste containers (UFC) from private collection points in currently three municipalities of Uri and transport to the waste transfer station (KUST) Eielen, Attinghausen
