Czechia – Carriageway resurfacing works – I/8 Žalany - Velvěty

The subject of the contract is the renewal of the surface of the I/8 road, which is the main object of the construction (SO 104). The scope of the object is the maintenance of the cover in the form of replacing the asphalt layer across the entire width of the road based on the processed diagnostic survey and subsequently processed project documentation at the VD-ZDS level for the I/8 Žalany – Velvěty road at km 14.373 – 16.892. Maintenance of the I/8 road surface preserves the existing directional alignment of the road. As part of the project, traffic signs will be renewed in the current layout and vertical traffic signs will be modified only to the extent of maintenance. Directional posts will be added along the road, including near bridge structures. As part of the project, guardrails will also be modified or replaced along the entire length of the route. Guardrails will also be supplemented or extended in selected locations. Extensions of direction posts will be installed on the guardrails and, in the case of proximity to a bridge structure, a blue extension will be installed. The entire section will be cleaned of the existing paved and unpaved shared ditch, the stone paving and street drains will also be cleaned. The construction will take place in halves, the project assumes the implementation of road reconstruction with partial closure of half of the PK in sections of approximately 600 - 800 m in length, depending on the provision of service.
