Czechia – Roundabout construction work – Okružní křižovatka silnic II/608 x III/00812 x III/24021 - Nelahozeves

The roundabout of roads II/608 x III/00812 x III/24021 - Nelahozeves is designed with an outer diameter of 35 m (4 intersection arms) and a lane width of 7.0 m. The inner traffic ring is 2 m wide. The existing intersection is designed as an intersection (4 branches). The main road (branch A and B) is a second-class road II/608, the secondary road (branch C) is a third-class road III/00812 and the secondary road (branch D) is a third-class road III/24021. The existing branches are two-lane, undivided in direction. There are no paved walking areas in the intersection area. In the proposed section, there are existing bus stops, according to the station on the right side of branch B and on the left side of branch A. The paved walking area is only at the bus stop on branch A, where the paved walking area is overgrown and extends only along the length of the boarding edge with a raised edge of approximately 20 mm. The existing intersection will be replaced by a new roundabout in order to enable safe passage of vehicles from side roads to the main road. Furthermore, the new OK with dividing islands will serve for the future connection of pedestrian and VO roads, which will be implemented within the new residential development.
