The subject of the Public Contract is the supply and servicing of 16 large-capacity trams of the same type. At the same time, in accordance with Article 3.4 of the tender documentation, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to change the obligation under the contract consisting in increasing the total number of trams supplied, by a maximum of 9 additional large-capacity trams of the same type. The Contracting Authority's intention is to modernize the fleet so that it meets the current traffic situation and needs in the Statutory City of Ostrava. The required trams will be approved for operation in the Czech Republic and a Certificate of Competence will be issued for them by the Railway Authority. The Contracting Authority will require the supply of exclusively new trams, and will therefore not accept reconstructed or already used trams. The subject of the performance also includes ensuring the so-called heavy maintenance of the provided performance consisting in a medium and major inspection of each vehicle.
