On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine, an automated platform for the analysis of proteins in body fluids (CSF, serum, plasma) based on antibody binding and signal amplification via downstream PCR is to be procured. The instrument should be capable of singleplex analyses up to the point of generating results and multiplex analyses up to the point of generating a sequencing library. A key criterion for the selection of the instrument is the availability of assays for the singleplex analysis of biomarkers of neurological diseases (NfL, GFAP). In addition, sensitivity combined with very good reproducibility from small sample volumes is crucial.
