The Gebsattel Primary School, part of the Gebsattel-Insingen-Neusitz school district, is located in the town center, directly next to the town hall. The existing L-shaped building was constructed in the 1950s, with extensions in 1997 (sports hall, building wing in the northwest) and 2005 (addition of a classroom). Now, the primary school faces significant challenges: the steadily increasing number of students is putting a strain on the school community. Despite a spacious break room/cafeteria, there are few to no opportunities for differentiation or quiet time, whether for after-school activities or regular classes. The renovation and expansion of the primary school now offers a unique opportunity to create conditions in Gebsattel that will allow modern educational and student care requirements to be met in a future-oriented, sustainable, and regionally significant way. A feasibility study has already been completed, and the design phases 1 and 2 have been carried out. These plans are included with this announcement. The client now intends to award phases 3 to 9 in a phased approach.
