The Frankfurt Municipal Theatres are among the most renowned spoken word and musical theatres in Europe, integrating all the functions necessary for successful ensemble and repertory operations. This is based on both the unique stage design and the dedication of the approximately 1,200 employees. Buildings for events, and especially performance venues, are highly technical structures that can only fulfill their purpose if operational processes are synergistic and function optimally. The development of new stage buildings for drama and opera, as well as temporary and interim venues, requires the design of the spatial, operational, structural, and technical parameters of the stage, backstage and sidestage areas, upper and lower stage machinery, auditoriums, and the most important logistical and event-related dependencies. The services to be commissioned here include the creation of the stage design as a preliminary planning phase, the development of (partially) functional specifications, and ongoing consultation and technical support for the client on stage-specific topics. The preliminary planning services consist of theater-specific specialist planning for stage technology, lighting technology, and audio, video, media, and stage management technology (AVMI technology) as a guiding plan for the architectural competition, under the direction of the separately commissioned, theater-specific preliminary planning team. The scope of services includes, in particular, the development and updating of project requirements with regard to the stages and auditoriums, as well as consulting on the execution of the architectural competitions, planning, and construction tenders, taking into account the framework conditions relevant to repertory operations and the stages themselves. The aim is to enable the most efficient, environmentally friendly, and climate-friendly performance venues possible, providing the foundation for good working conditions and functional, safe workplaces....
