As part of the upcoming measures, the building is to be certified according to the Sustainable Building Assessment System (BNB). The aim is to achieve the "Silver" quality standard, which requires an overall fulfillment level of at least 65% according to BNB criteria. The services must be provided in accordance with the currently valid specifications of the BNB criteria catalog. The assessment of sustainability quality is based on the weightings of the main criteria groups defined in the BNB system (ecology, economy, socio-cultural and functional quality, technical quality, process quality). Since the Glocke is a historical building, not all BNB requirements can be fully met. Therefore, the certification will be carried out "in accordance with" the BNB system, whereby the criteria will be examined for their applicability and implemented where possible. The goal is to document the sustainable development of the concert hall transparently and comprehensibly and to obtain a certificate that takes into account the special conditions of historic preservation. Since federal funding is being sought for the project, the detailed design must be carried out in coordination with the Federal Construction Office in Bremen. As part of this tender, the services of the BNB coordination in service phases 1-3 are awarded as a fixed contract. Services in service phases 4-9 are awarded on an optional basis. Further information on the scope of services can be found in the tender documents.
