A new extension to the Brothers Grimm Elementary School is planned for construction on county-owned land. The school has a department specializing in speech therapy, which is integrated into a system of preschool, school-based, and extracurricular support measures for children with speech impairments or disabilities. This is the only school in the Wetterau district offering speech therapy. Both the increasing number of students and the continued development of all-day schooling necessitate more space at the school. According to the space program, the extension will include additional classrooms, a cafeteria, after-school care rooms, and ancillary spaces. The new rooms can be created either in an existing addition or a separate extension. The exact location on the property will be determined and agreed upon during the initial planning phases. Minor modifications to the existing building may be required. Information regarding the space program and the Wetterau district's "Economical Construction" guidelines will be provided to the planner upon contract award. The county-owned school property is located, among other things: - within the area covered by a development plan - within a drinking water protection zone. The area is directly adjacent to a railway line and is designated as a contaminated site. Bidders may only submit one fee proposal (according to Appendix 10, the proposal form in Excel format, or Appendix 11, the proposal form in PDF format) for the construction project.
