The new overhead contact line system is to be constructed with low-maintenance features. Constraints for the overhead contact line system include the location of the tracks and points to be spanned, the existing overhead contact line system, the structures, and the track spacing. Narrow track spacing may necessitate the use of steel profile masts and yoke constructions. The conversion or new construction of the overhead contact line system is to be carried out using standard components according to the Ebs drawing series, in compliance with the applicable regulations of DB AG (Ril 462, 997, 800) as well as EN 50119, 50122-1, and 50341-1. The maximum permissible operating speeds are taken into account for the overhead contact line types. The overhead contact line system for line 4000 will be constructed as type Re 200. Within the station, the newly constructed system will be built as type Re 100. Catenary systems being converted generally retain type Re 75.
