Germany – Construction work – Bauleistung für Schadstoffsanierung und Entkernung am Bestandsgebäude MAZ

Plans are underway to repurpose the former Machandelweg training center (Building N). The new concept envisions a new canteen with a production kitchen for the BVG (Berlin Transport Authority) Machandelweg property (MACH). Storage and workshop areas, as well as multifunctional training rooms, are also planned. This project is part of the new subway workshop concept. The building will be stripped back to its structural frame and then renovated. Due to the presence of hazardous materials, extensive remediation is required. This remediation, along with the demolition work, is included in this tender. The result will be a gutted, safe building shell. A detailed remediation and disposal plan, including a hazardous materials inventory and a schedule of services, is included with the tender, which bidders must use as the basis for their bids.
