Germany – Construction work for swimming pool – EWB_Erweiterungsneubau 50m Schwimmhalle Wiesenbad Eschborn

The Eschborn city council intends to construct an extension with a 50-meter swimming pool for the Wiesenbad outdoor pool in Eschborn. The city assembly approved the plans for the additional pool, submitted by the city council, by a majority vote in September 2018. The extension will feature eight 50-meter lanes and a separate entrance hall. The pool will have a movable floor. Furthermore, the pool will be equipped with sliding doors that can be opened to the outdoor pool area in the summer. The total cost of this project is approximately €15.7 million (gross). Access to the site is via the existing access roads from the main road. The work will take place while the pool remains open.
