The city of Burghausen intends to comprehensively renovate sections of its existing indoor swimming pool. The Burghausen indoor swimming pool was built in 1970 and expanded in 2003 with an adventure pool area including a sauna. The current renovation project will involve extensive modernization of the original 1970 indoor pool. Scope of the renovation: The following areas of the old building are affected: - Swimming hall with 50-meter pool - Diving hall with pool and diving platform - Changing rooms on the ground floor, as well as the offices of the swimming pool administration - Staff areas in the basement - Technical basement of the old building. Not included in the scope of the renovation: - The adventure pool area with sauna (2003 extension) - The outdoor pool area, including the saltwater outdoor pool built in 2019. Operation during construction: - The sauna will remain open throughout the entire construction period. - The outdoor pool will remain open during the summer months. Access and visitor guidance – During the construction period, visitor access will be via a path along the Wacker Stadium, west of the construction site boundary.
