SKBS aims to outsource as many patient samples requiring laboratory services not performed in its own laboratories as possible to a professional laboratory service provider (so-called external shipment) to ensure the laboratory services are performed quickly and to a high standard. All legal regulations regarding the transport of potentially infectious samples must be strictly adhered to. Transport is carried out in accordance with regulations, including multiple layers of packaging (e.g., sample in bag, bag in box) and labeling as hazardous material, etc., according to current legal requirements. Regular training of drivers is mandatory. Due to the fact that these are medical samples from patients, the drivers must demonstrate exceptional reliability and diligence.
