Germany – Houses construction work – Generalunternehmerleistungen zur Sanierung des Wohnquartiers Bonhoefferstraße 5-14, Stauffenbergstraße 1-23 in 04509 Delitzsch (VOEK 447-25)

With the housing initiative, the federal government, the states, and municipalities have set themselves the goal of addressing the shortage of affordable housing. The developer, the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA), has undertaken a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation project in the residential complex at Bonhoefferstraße 5-14 and Stauffenbergstraße 1-23 in 04509 Delitzsch. The project involves modernizing 209 existing apartments in a total of five buildings, each with five full stories and approximately 13,650 m² of rentable living space. The planned addition of elevators, the demolition of existing balconies and the construction of larger ones, changes to the floor plans of existing apartments, the installation of photovoltaic systems, and much more, aims to achieve a modern living standard. Improving the accessibility of the apartments and upgrading the courtyard are intended to increase the long-term attractiveness of the entire location for both older tenants and young families. The outdoor areas will also be redesigned and modernized to meet current standards. The renovation will be carried out block by block in up to three phases, while the buildings are vacated. The project has been designated a "flagship project" within the context of the housing initiative and is attracting significant attention from both the local public and the municipal political landscape.
