The VDV eTicket Service (VDV-ETS) is responsible for the German public transport standard "((eTicket Deutschland)." This standard provides the technical and organizational platform for operating an interoperable electronic ticketing system for public transport in Germany and Luxembourg. In addition to developing and publishing the technical standard, establishing organizational rules for participants, and testing deployed components, VDV-ETS also operates central infrastructure for the transport companies and associations participating in (((eTicket Deutschland). The public transport sector is currently preparing to introduce a new version of the standard called "(((etiCORE)." This new version necessitates providing participants with new systems. The primary function of the system being tendered is to manage the participating transport companies/associations and manufacturers. This system will also be used to order security components such as SAMs or PKI certificates, as well as to manage organization IDs, applications, and documents.
