Monitoring and control measures are intended to ensure the safe condition of the buildings, technical systems, laboratories, and scientific facilities both during and outside of regular working hours. To carry out these tasks, the monitoring center (MC) must be continuously staffed. This is part of the technical infrastructure department. The duties of the employees assigned by the contractor include, in addition to the continuous staffing of the MC during regular working hours, providing practical support to the technical infrastructure teams during repair and maintenance work, as well as recurring inspections, sometimes in conjunction with external experts. Outside of regular working hours, the focus is on conducting patrols and responding to malfunctions and alarms. The offer includes a shift system with one 8-hour early, middle, and late shift each day, plus an additional MC (day) shift on all working days. Each shift must be staffed with one qualified electrician (power engineering/telecommunications/measurement and control technology/mechatronics) and one qualified mechanic (gas, water, heating, and air conditioning). Coordination on behalf of the contractor will be handled by two qualified electricians and mechanics on all working days, who will serve as the contact persons for the JRC Karlsruhe coordinator. Proof of qualifications must be submitted with the application for these positions.
