The existing framework agreement between the Bavarian Police and the Bavarian State Office for Digitalization, Broadband and Surveying/IT Service Center (LDBV/IT-DLZ) for the maintenance, service, renewal, and expansion of network components expires on June 30, 2025. To optimize economic conditions and services, the Free State of Bavaria, represented by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior for Sport and Integration (StMI), which in turn is represented by the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA), has decided to award a new framework agreement. The aim is to achieve synergy effects and create optimal conditions for the current and future continuation of network infrastructures through standardized contracts and processes. The networks of the Bavarian Police and the LDBV/IT-DLZ exclusively use components from the manufacturer Cisco. The system selection for this manufacturer was made through a vendor-neutral tendering process. Against this background, a new framework agreement to cover the Bavarian Police's needs will be awarded, supplemented/expanded to include the needs of the Bavarian State Office for Data Processing and Administration (LDBV)/IT Service Center (IT-DLZ). The scope of services under this framework agreement includes maintenance, replacement, and supplementary procurement of Cisco components, as well as the provision of services for Cisco components during the term of the agreement. Furthermore, the focus is on the continued development of high availability of the data centers (zero downtime). The first individual order will be placed by the client no earlier than July 1, 2025.
