The Enzkreis and Ludwigsburg districts, as public transport authorities responsible for their respective areas of responsibility pursuant to Section 6 Paragraph 1 of the Baden-Württemberg Public Transport Act (ÖPNVG BW) and competent authorities within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on public passenger transport services (Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007), intend to award a public service contract (in the form of a gross contract) for public passenger transport services in the Illingen transport area (route bundle) through a competitive tendering procedure. The subject of the intended public service contract is all public passenger transport services within the Illingen transport area. At the start of operations, the transport services will be provided on the following route in the aforementioned transport area: 707 Mühlacker–Mühlhausen/Enz–Illingen–Vaihingen–Großglattbach. The total service volume of bus route 707 is approximately 295,000 scheduled kilometers per year. Minor changes to the service offering may occur before the start of operations; these changes must be taken into account and implemented by the operator. The intended public service contract (PSC) includes ensuring adequate public transport services (public passenger transport services as defined in Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007) throughout its entire area of operation for the duration of the contract. The start of operations is scheduled for the timetable change on December 14, 2025. Further specifications, particularly regarding timetable requirements, fares, standards, and quality requirements, can be found in the tender documents.
