Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – Alterssicherung in Deutschland 2027 (ASID27)

The research project “Old-Age Security in Germany 2027” (ASID27) is to be commissioned to create a current, representative, and comprehensive database on the income situation of the population aged 60 and over at the individual level, taking into account partners living in the same household, for the year 2027. The research project “Old-Age Security in Germany” has been commissioned every four years since the mid-1980s. Further details can be found in the methodology report for the last study. All reports and the tables from previous studies can be viewed online as PDF files on the BMAS website (www.bmas.de) under Publications. The research project consists of data collection and data analysis and is scheduled to be carried out between 2026 and 2029. The “Data Collection” sub-project includes, in particular: • Development of an operationalized survey concept. • Revision of the questionnaires. • Selection of target individuals aged 60 and over from a sample of addresses held by the residents' registration offices. • Conducting the survey, data collection, data verification, and data preparation. • Developing a model for the statistical projection of the population aged 85 and over and their income based on available data. • Developing a model for calculating income tax and social security contributions. • Developing a projection framework. • Delivering an analyzable dataset to the client with information on at least 20,000 target individuals aged 60 and over and their spouses/partners, resulting in a total of approximately 30,000 individuals. • Preparing a methodology report.
