The school complex comprises the Ganerbenschule, the Sophie La Roche Realschule, and the Alfred-Amman-Gymnasium. Building II currently houses nine classrooms for grades 5 through 10 and three specialized classrooms. Since the current layout no longer meets the school's needs, extensive renovations and an extension of Building II are planned, including the addition of a story using timber frame construction. The plans include the creation of a new cafeteria, new classrooms, and new library space. The existing building will be extended to the north and west, and the existing first floor will be expanded to create the ground floor in the currently single-story areas. This will be followed by the addition of a second story. The existing building's structural framework will be largely preserved and reinforced to accommodate the new addition. Furthermore, new elevators will be installed to ensure accessibility throughout the entire building. Some existing building components, in particular some of the window elements from 2009 and some precast reinforced concrete facade elements, are to be removed and reused in the extension. To ensure uninterrupted and smooth operation during the construction period, a temporary school building will be erected on-site to house the classes. This tender concerns the screed work.
