The North Rhine Medical Association (KV Nordrhein) operates a complex network of IT hardware, software, and middleware to meet its objectives and fulfill its public mandate. Disruptions to the IT environment always hinder KV Nordrhein's operations and thus jeopardize the performance and fulfillment of its assigned tasks. KV Nordrhein pursues a strategy of operating a homogeneous IT environment to eliminate technical incompatibilities, disproportionate technical difficulties in use and maintenance, interface and compatibility problems, and to minimize potential risks. This tender proposes expanding the existing hyperconverged system based on Windows Server 2022 Hyper-V by three additional nodes. The goal is to increase reliability and improve the overall system performance. Furthermore, the acquisition of a new eight-node cluster based on a three-tier architecture is planned. This cluster is intended to replace a blade system based on HPE Synergy next year.
