Munich's public utility company (SWM) currently uses Trend Micro's "Vision One" endpoint protection solution to support security operations at its Cyber Defense Center and equip endpoints with the necessary capabilities to detect and defend against potential cyberattacks. This approach not only addresses the endpoints themselves but also incorporates relevant information such as identity data, vulnerability analyses, cloud workloads, threat intelligence, and other security-related data and technologies relevant to operational security. The platform thus offers an integrated approach to raising the security level of SWM's highly heterogeneous infrastructure and making it transparent through a central, holistic view. The project envisions either replacing or continuing the existing environment, taking into account all functional and non-functional requirements. If a platform change is necessary, the migration will be considered within the planning process. Any potential disruptions must be minimized. The contractor should consider the following figures as reference values for the environment in their offer: • 11,000 employees • 10,800 clients • 2,550 servers. The client already has licenses to use Microsoft Defender; these will be taken into account during the offer comparison if Microsoft products are offered. The following minimum requirements apply: Cloud data must be located in the EU (ideally in Germany). The cloud operation must have received C5 certification from the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security).
