The subject of the contract is the "SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT FOR THE MODERNIZATION AND CONTROL OF THE IRRIGATION FACILITIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KAVALA". The objective of the Municipality of Kavala is to modernize the electronic installations and upgrade the infrastructure by installing remote monitoring and control systems in the irrigation networks serving the Kavala plain area, in order to achieve integrated management of the irrigation networks, through electronic recording of the water distribution network. Thus, with the installation of appropriate E/M equipment and customized system software, information will be collected (and processed) from the irrigation water production (pumping) and distribution facilities in order to inform the system about: • The operating status of the E/M equipment • The presentation of quantitative water production (pumping) data • Energy consumption • Monitoring of pressures in the irrigation network By creating and installing such a telemetry/tele-control system, the program managers will be given the opportunity to achieve optimal operation of the irrigation system - with maximum utilization of the water potential and reduction of its losses, while with the correct operation of the pumps there will be an additional benefit in drastically reducing operating costs.
