The execution of the MID is provided by the Contractor and consists (among other things) of the following activities: Receiving, registering, specifying, and making available to the Client, in accordance with the process description, digital and/or telephone Reports involving Defence employees. Forwarding requests for assistance and/or advice regarding Reports to the COID, referring to the CVP if the Reporter indicates a desire to discuss the Report confidentially first, or referring to third parties. Referring to agencies within or outside the Client in situations where no Report is involved. Making available aggregated management information of the MID as specified in Chapter 5 (Requirements for Reporting, Communication, and Escalation), paragraph 5.4. 3.1.1 Within the scope of the Defence Integrity Reporting Point The MID performs an initial triage on the received Reports, assessing whether the Report pertains to a Defence employee and whether the conduct is related to the performance of the function for the Client. The receiving of reports from two categories of reporters falls within the scope of the MID: 1. (Former) employees of the Client and hired employees (or persons working under the responsibility of the Client) regarding: a. suspicions of integrity violations (including inappropriate behavior) in relation to the performance of duties; b. complaints from Defence employees regarding inappropriate behavior by colleagues; c. complaints regarding improper conduct by Defence employees in the performance of duties; d. suspicions of misconduct or knowledge regarding infringements of EU law (whistleblower reports cf. WBK). 2. Civilians other than the Client regarding: a. complaints regarding improper conduct by Defence employees in the performance of duties; b. suspicions of integrity violations in relation to the performance of duties.
