Netherlands – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Planstudie HOV Haarlemmermeer Zuidwest en Zuidelijke ontsluiting

In the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, approximately 20,000 new homes will be built by 2040, along with an increase in work locations and facilities. To facilitate this growth, optimizing traffic structures is necessary to ensure traffic can continue to be handled effectively. On October 19, 2023, the Haarlemmermeer Municipal Council adopted the Traffic Structure Plan (VSP) for Hoofddorp. This plan describes how the municipality intends to keep mobility in Hoofddorp liveable, safe, and accessible until 2040. Two measures from the VSP that will be tendered in a single request early next year (not open to the European public) are a feasibility study for both: 1. Further development of the High-Quality Public Transport (HOV) network in Haarlemmermeer Southwest and 2. the southern access to Hoofddorp for car traffic. Exactly not yet known, well above the European tendering threshold.
