Norway – Construction work – Establishment of a housing association with sheltered accommodation flats for elderly persons

Gran municipality has a need for housing for elderly persons. There is a need for simpler smaller and more adapted affordable 2 and 3 room flats. It is considered that the municipality needs 170 residences with a lifetime standard by 2040. The municipality will continually assess signing a contract with the builder for the refutation of flats where the tenderer is responsible for the project and plot and the individual rent conditions are regulated through an ordinary rent contract in accordance with the Tenancy Act ́s provisions between the landlord and the individual tenant who are from the municipality. The municipality would also like to look at other alternatives to contribute to the establishment of suitable housing in Gran municipality. The possibility is to contribute to the establishment of a housing cooperative.
