Norway – Research and development consultancy services – Mapping plans for area efficiency at universities and university colleges.

The objective of the procurement is to obtain information on what concrete plans and ambitions the institutions have for area efficiency. With plans for area efficiency we mean, for example, measures such as: • Contributes to the entity using its areas in a better or more appropriate way • Results in the areas being used by several employees, students or other users (multi-purpose/multi-purpose systems) • Leads to a reduction in the total area that the business has at its disposal. • Increases the functional suitability in an area Plans and measures can include both areas that the institutions manage themselves, areas that the institutions rent by the Directorate of Public Construction and Property and areas the institutions rent in the market. All universities, university colleges and scientific university colleges subject to KD shall be included in the mapping. This applies to 11 universities, four university colleges and six academic university colleges. The mapping is limited to obtaining and systematising existing plans at the institutions. Through the mapping, we want answers to what the plans of the institutions are concretely based on, what potential for area efficiency is in the plans, what the costs of implementing the measures will be, and what gains could arise if the measures are implemented.
