The Craiova-Drobeta Turnu Severin-Caransebeș railway line is part of the Orient/East-Mediterranean Corridor and is located within the boundaries of Dolj, Mehedinți and Caraș-Severin counties. Administratively, the Craiova-Drobeta Turnu Severin-Caransebeș railway line is located within the boundaries of the Regional Branches of CF Craiova and Timișoara – CNCF „CFR” SA. Considering the value of the investment objective works, the length of the route, the complexity of the works to be executed, as well as encouraging the participation of as many economic operators as possible in the procedure for awarding the design and execution contract, the solution of dividing the design and execution of the works into 6 geographically delimited lots was adopted, as follows: • LOT 1: CRAIOVA (CAP X) - FILIASI (CAP Y), KM 248+760 - KM 286+735, including OCC/CMT Craiova, having a length of 37.975 km; • LOT 2: FILIASI (CAP Y) - IGIROASA (CAP Y), KM 286+735 - KM 331+000, having a length of 44.265 km; • LOT 3: KM 331+ 000 ( IGIROASA CAP Y ) - KM 333+000 ( START OF THE BALOTA VARIANT) - KM 359+390 ( CAP Y New DROBETA EST Station ) - KM 362+632 ( CAP X DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN ) to which is added the RAILWAY CONNECTION OF THE BALOTA VARIANT WITH THE EXISTING PRUNISOR RAILWAY STATION, the RAILWAY CONNECTION WITH THE DROBETA MARFA STATION ( SIMIAN ), DROBETA MARFA STATION and the DUDAȘU RAILWAY CONNECTION, with a total length of 41.234 km; • LOT 4: DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN ( CAP X ) - BAILE HERCULANE ( CAP X ) KM 362+632 - KM 404+250, with a total length of 41.618 km; • LOT 5: BAILE HERCULANE (CAP X) - PO NOU POARTA (CAP X), KM 404+250 - KM 436+887, with a total length of 32.637 km; • LOT 6: PO NOU POARTA (CAP X), KM 436+887- KM 474+047 (END OF PROJECT), with a total length of 37.160 km.
