Slovakia – Information systems and servers – Power server

The subject of the contract is the provision of Power servers. The aim of the public procurement is to expand the computing power for the operated database system on the Informix platform under the AIX operating system and application servers under the AIX operating system. For this reason, all procured items must be 100% compatible with the IBM Power Systems Servers (formerly pSeries) and IBM AIX operating systems that the public contracting authority has. The public contracting authority currently operates an infrastructure built on IBM Power System S924, IBM Power System S824 and IBM Power System S822 servers. The procured servers will be used to expand and replace the existing environment of the public contracting authority. In order to maintain homogeneity (with regard to functionality and integration into the existing environment) and mutual interchangeability of servers within the operated environment, we require the same type of servers. Reference products for individual required products are listed for verified compatibility with the required use. The contracting authority is not obliged to take over the subject of the contract in the event of incompatibility of the offered solution with its homogeneous environment. All delivered components must be original IBM products, delivered through an authorized distribution channel and must be intended for use in the Slovak Republic. The contracting authority accepts equivalent goods only if they are an equivalent replacement for the requested goods, or if they are newer types of goods and fully compatible with the required use. In the case of submission of a bid with an equivalent solution, the equivalent goods can be delivered only after consultation and with the consent of the contracting authority. The contracting authority will assess the proposal for equivalent performance and notify the supplier whether it accepts the proposal.
