Opportunity Overview

The development objective of the Resilient Kerala Program Program-for-Results Project in India is to enhance Kerala’s resilience against the impacts of climate change and natural disasters, including disease outbreaks and pandemics. The Program consists of the following activities: Area 1, strengthening transversal systems for resilience includes: (1.1) sustainable fiscal and debt management; (1.2) comprehensive disaster risk finance and social protection system; (1.3) risk-informed urban master plans for cities and towns; and (1.4) risk-informed local disaster risk management plans. Area 2, embedding resilience in key economic sectors includes: (2.1) resilient public health systems; (2.2) integrated and sustainable water resources management; (2.3) sustainable and resilient agriculture systems; (2.4) climate resilient road infrastructure.
