Technical Assistance for Financing Framework for Rogun Hydropower Project

The development objectives of the Technical Assistance for Financing Framework for Rogun Hydropower Project for Tajikistan are to strengthen Rogun Hydropower Plant (HPP) Project’s financial and commercial frameworks, enhance its environmental and social sustainability, improve the transparency, and support establishment of Rogun HPP Project’s benefit sharing program. The project comprises of four components. The first component is development of a macroeconomically sustainable financing plan and a commercial framework for Rogun HPP Project. The second component is improvement of the dam safety. The third component is strengthening of environmental and social (E and S) framework and benefit sharing aspects of Rogun HPP Project. The fourth component is strengthening of institutional capacity of Rogun Project Management Group (PMG) and Rogun Joint Stock Company (JSC).
