Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project

The development objective of the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project for India is to enhance connectivity and access to improved services and economic opportunities for tribal areas in Tripura. The project comprises of four components. The first component, strengthening foundations for economic development will support strengthening the foundations for economic development in the tribal blocks through an integrated set of investments in agricultural livelihoods and rural roads that can both ease access to markets and to schools. The second component, investing in services to develop human capital will support investments to increase the average years of educational attainment and enhanced preparedness for labor market transitions for students in the twenty-three (23) tribal blocks and especially in the twelve (12) priority tribal blocks. The third component, strengthening institutional capacities for service delivery objective is to support the strengthening of local institutions in the tribal blocks for improved service delivery. The fourth component, contingent emergency response component will support the provision of immediate response to an eligible crisis or emergency, as needed.
