Türkiye Earthquake, Floods and Wildfires Emergency Reconstruction Project

The development objective of Türkiye Earthquake, Floods and Wildfires Reconstruction Project is to support green and resilient disaster reconstruction in municipalities affected by earthquake, floods or wildfires, to strengthen municipal capacity for disaster resilience, and to respond promptly and effectively in the event of an eligible crisis or emergency. This project has four components. 1) The first component, Green and Resilient Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Construction of Municipal Infrastructure and Actions to Strengthen Municipal Resilience, will finance demand-driven municipal investments to support green and resilient restoration and reconstruction of damaged municipal infrastructure and actions aimed at increasing municipal response capacity and resilience for wildfires, floods, earthquakes and other disasters. 2) The second component, Technical Assistance to Support Green, Resilient and Inclusive Cities, will support Iller Bankasi Anonim Sirketi (ILBANK) and municipalities to build a green, resilient and inclusive future by ensuring that there is sufficient institutional and technical capacity to design, supervise and implement investment projects. 3) The third component, Project management and operations, will finance goods, consulting services related to day-to-day project management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and project communications. 4) The fourth component, Contingent Emergency Response Component, would support emergency recovery and reconstruction efforts under an agreed action plan of activities designed as a mechanism to implement the government’s response to an emergency.
