Tunisia Integrated Disaster Resilience Program

The development objective of the Integrated Disaster Resilience Program-for-Results Project for Tunisia is to strengthen Tunisia’s disaster risk management and financing, and to enhance the protection of the targeted population and assets from disaster and climate-related events. The program is structured around four result areas (RAs). The first RA, improving flood risk reduction will support the Government of Tunisia (GoT) in its efforts to improve flood risk reduction in urban areas. This will be achieved through physical investments in urban flood risk reduction projects. The second RA, enhanced disaster preparedness will support the GoT in strengthening disaster preparedness. The third RA, strengthening financial protection will support the GoT in strengthening its financial protection capacity. The fourth RA, promoting institutional coordination and a sound regulatory environment for climate and disaster risk management will promote institutional coordination and a sound regulatory environment for climate and disaster risk management.
