This request for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for the Msimbazi Basin Development Project (MBDP) that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) online Notice No. OP00221060 of March 29, 2023. 2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Msimbazi Basin Development Project (IDA Credit No. 7215-TZ). The Project Development Objective is to strengthen flood resilience and integrated urban development in an economically important and flood-prone area of the Msimbazi River Basin. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the credit will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Consultancy Services to Undertake an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, and Resettlement Action Plan for Flood and Erosion Control Interventions in the Middle and Upper Basin of the Msimbazi River in Dar es Salaam. 3.
