Opportunity Overview

The development objective of the Maternal and Child Health Investment Program for Tanzania is to scale up the provision and improve the quality of essential health care services, with a focus on maternal and child health. The program will support the government program which aims to improve the provision and quality of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health, and nutrition (RMNCAH-N) services. The program is particularly aligned with the country partnership framework (CPF’s) focus area 2: boost human capital and social inclusion - a life cycle approach to human development challenges. The program will focus on improving primary health care (PHC) results with a focus on RMNCAH-N and service delivery, especially in rural areas, with emphasis on improving coverage and quality of health services.
