SOURCES SOUGHT/RFI DESCRIPTION
This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice / RFI only. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice / RFI is to gain information about potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339113 (size standard of 800 Employees). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI, further RFIs and/or a solicitation or other announcements may be published.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources capable of providing Wheelchairs Brand Name or Equal to Staxi for the Loma Linda VA Medical Centers located at 11201 Benton St. Loma Linda CA 92357
The list of DRAFT characteristics is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, of the supplies/services that are required.
Must be non-collapsible (non-folding)
Steel oval tubing arm rests with non-porous sleeves that can lift for easy patient transfer Steel, lifting, non-removable, footrests
Automatic, fail safe brakes with handle control. Brakes will release when grasping the handle, and automatically apply when the handle is released
Non-marring 2 1/8 composite wheels with 8 diameter, 5 non-marring casters with sealed bearing
High quality casters with anti-tip mechanism Storage space for items weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be offered in (at least 3) multiple colors for identification between units
Must be able to nest within each other for storage
