DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of a base perimeter fence which will be a Type A welded wire mesh fencing surmounted by 3-strands of barbed wire with an outward facing 45-degree angled outrigger, signage, and clear zones. The base perimeter fence covers areas of irregular terrain. Work also includes an unpaved (gravel) security patrol road. Supporting facilities include site development, conduit for future connection to lighting and intrusion detection systems (IDS), storm drainage, and landscaping.
9. SELECTION PROCESS: The Government intends to select a contractor for award using a best value trade-off source selection process. This process allows for a tradeoff between non-cost factors and cost/price and allows the Government to accept other than the lowest priced proposal or other than the highest technically rated proposal to achieve a best-value contract award.
10. DISCLOSURE OF MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000.
